In November 2012, Proplaneta worked with The Macedonian Red Cross facilitating a participatory video with community members and Red Cross volunteers of Kriva Palanka town.

A group of 20 people between 20 - 60 learned how to manage the filming equipment and how to to report in front of the camera. After a group discussion, they selected which climate change adaptation and disaster preparedness messages were most important to be part of their video. They interviewed many villagers in the surrounding mountain area and identified and captured 10 important messages they thought were important to share with other communities.

In November 2012, Proplaneta and the Mexican Red Cross Youth facilitated a group of school children to produce a participatory video about climate change. This activity was part of the Procclima program which educates children to become agents of change in their communities to help climate change.

After the children learned how to film and speak in front of the camera, they helped edit the video to then show it to more than 200 people at their school.

The video was well received by the audience and will be used by the Mexican Red Cross as part of their education kit.

In November 2012, Proplaneta worked with The Colombian Red Cross facilitating a participatory video with members of San Tropel, a Wayuú indigenous community located in El Pájaro, La Guajira.

Along with Red Cross volunteers, the community filmed 6 examples of how they are adapting their livelihoods to the different impacts of climate change.

After editing the video on a participatory approach, it was screened at a different village, also of Wayuú background, to promote community-to-community education. Following the screening, there was a debate on the lessons learned and which examples could be adopted by that community.
